En visite au Canada du 2 au 8 novembre à l'invitation d'organisations de la société civile, Me Francesca Albanese a présenté son dernier rapport, ''L’effacement colonial par le génocide''.
Elle y déclare que la violence qu’Israël déchaîne dans les territoires palestiniens occupés « s’inscrit dans une campagne destructrice orchestrée intentionnellement au niveau de l’État pour provoquer systématiquement le déplacement forcé et le remplacement à long terme des Palestinien.nes ».
La Rapporteuse spéciale de l'ONU intime les États, dont le Canada, à respecter leurs obligations en vertu du droit international et à cesser tout support envers Israël face à ce « premier génocide colonial diffusé en direct ».
